Manchester Jewish Community Care which runs the Nicky Alliance Centre is seeking dynamic people to join its Board of Management to help with the development and management of the range of services it provides.

Board members work closely with the Chief Executive and other Senior Managers to help monitor, inform and make recommendations to the Board and Council. These roles are voluntary but offer the opportunity of working in a social care environment  as well as giving something back to the community.

MJCC is looking for those who may have a proven track record of financial management, a background in health and/or social care, responsibilities of the Trustee of a charity but most importantly are able to commit the time to attend meetings and offer support. The Board if made up of a Council comprising of 24 members of whom 14 sit on the Executive.

Meetings of the Council are held 5 times per annum and are of approximately 1.5 hours duration usually commencing at 8.00pm on the second Tuesday of the month.  The Annual General Meeting takes place in July and is approximately one hour’s duration.

Other ad-hoc meetings are organised as necessary.

Some day time commitment will be required.
