Manchester Jewish Community Care serves older, disabled and vulnerable members of the community by providing services which promote active, independent living.

The Nicky Alliance Centre is housed in a purpose built two storey building, adapted to the needs of disabled people. Over two hundred members, who live independently, attend the Centre several times a week. The Centre offers a variety of exciting activities designed to engage and entertain.

For those who cannot cater for themselves, on a regular or temporary basis, MJCC provides a ‘Meals on Wheels’ service.
Together with the League of Jewish Women, MJCC produces the Northern Jewish Talking Newspaper, so that visually impaired people can keep in touch with local news.
A dignified Bathing service is available to those who need help with personal care.

The Nicky promotes active living, enhances the quality of life of its members and supports them to maintain their independence. I would like to strongly endorse the activities of the Nicky Alliance Day Centre. My experience- both personal- my mother was a member of long standing- and professional has always been positive. The care, compassion and dignity with which the members are treated are exemplary.’’
